आज हम can तथा Could का प्रयोग करना सीखेंगे और जानेंगे की अंग्कैरेजी ग्रामर में कैसे  और कहाँ can तथा  could का use किया जाता है 

Use Of Can in Hindi

can का हिंदी अर्थ होता है  सकना ( किसी काम को कर सकना ) यह योग्यता (Ability ) , क्षमता (Power) या फिर किसी से अनुमति मांगना अथवा कोई सम्भावना व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है . can एक modal verb है इंग्लिश ग्राम्मेर में कुल 10 modal verb होती है 

जैसे –  

• मैं यह कर सकता हूँ – I can do it
• तुम अंग्रेजी बोल सकते हो – You can speak English.

Can = सकता है , सकता हूँ , सकते है , 

पहिचान – Can का प्रयोग योग्यता , क्षमता , अनुमति तथा संभावना व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है।

Can –  Affirmative Sentences (सकारात्मक वाक्य )

Translation Rule –

Subject + can + V1 + object

Examples

1.  तुम जा सकते हो। —  You can go.
2.  मै अंग्रेजी बोल सकता हूँ —   I can speak English.
3. कल वर्षा हो सकती है। —  It can rain tomorrow.         
4. मै नृत्य कर सकता हूँ। —   I can dance.
5. मै यह कर सकता हूँ। —   I can do it.
6. तुम अब जा सकते हो। —    You can go now.
7. वह नदी में तैर सकती है। —    She can swim in the river.
8. लड़के मोटरसाइकिल चला सकते है।  — Boys can ride the bike.
9. तुम क्रिकेट खेल सकते हो। — You can play cricket 
10. मै खाना बना सकता हूँ। —  I can cook the food.

Can – Negative Sentences  ( नकारात्मक  वाक्य )

Translation Rule –

Subject + cannot/can’t + verb की I form + object

1. मैं यह नही कर सकता हूँ। — I can’t do this.
2.  तुम अब सो नही सकते हो। — You cannot sleep now.
3.  गौरव कार नहीं चला सकता है। — Gaurav can’t drive the car.
4. हम इस वक्त दौड़ नही सकते है। — We cannot run in this time.
5. तुम उसे हरा नही सकते हो । — You cannot defeat him.
6. मैं आपकी मदद नही कर सकता हूँ । — I can’t help you.
7. वह तालाब में तैर नही सकती है । — She can’t swim in the pond.
8. तुम मुझे दुखी नही कर सकते हो । — You can’t heart me.

 Can – Interrogative Sentences ( जब वाक्य में पहले ‘क्या’ आये )

Translation Rule –

 Can + subject + verb की I form + object

1. क्या तुम कार चला सकते हो ? —  Can you drive the Car?
2. क्या वह तैर सकता है? — Can he swim ?
3. क्या तुम राहुल से बात कर सकते हो ? — Can you talk to Rahul ?
4. क्या मैं दौड़ नही सकता ? — Can I not run ?
5. क्या वह उसे पीट सकता है ? — Can he beat him ?
6. क्या तुम देख नही सकते हो? — Can you not see ?
7. क्या मैं अमीर नही बन सकता हूँ ?  — Can I not be rich ?

Use of Could in Hindi

जब हिंदी में सका , सकी , सके , सका था शब्द आये तो could का प्रयोग होता है।कम संभावना व्यक्त करने के लिए could का प्रयोग होता है।

किसी को क्या करना चाहिए ( यह खास तौर पर गुस्से से बताते हुए ) could का प्रयोग होता है।

Can के अधिक नम्र रूप के तौर पर अनुमति लेने अथवा विनती करने के लिए Could का प्रयोग होता है

Affirmative Sentences

Translation Rule –

Sub + could + V1 + obj

Examples

1. हम समय पर पहुंच सके।  We could reach on time.
2. वह इस प्रश्न को हल कर सका।  He could solve this question.
3. मेरा भाई आगरा तक पैदल जा सका।  My brother could go on foot to Agra.
4. मै उसे खिड़की से देख सका। I could see him through the window
5. तुम खेल सके। You could play.
6. वह अंग्रेजी बोल सका। He could speak english.
7. मै इस संदूक को उठा सका था। I could lift this box.
8. दो वर्ष पूर्व मैं बिना चश्मे के पढ़ सका था।  Two years ago I could read without glasses.

Negative Sentences

Translation Rule –

 Sub + could + not + V1+ obj

Example

1.  हम समय पर नहीं पहुंच सके।  We could not reach on time.
2.  वह इस प्रश्न को नहीं हल कर सका। He could not solve this question.
3.  मेरा भाई आगरा तक नहीं पैदल जा सका। My brother could not go on foot to Agra.
4. मै उसे खिड़की से नहीं देख सका। I could not see him through the window.
5. तुम खेल नहीं सके। You could not play.
6. वह अंग्रेजी नहीं बोल सका। He could not speak english.

Interrogative Sentences

1.  हम समय पर क्यों नहीं पहुंच सके ? Why could not we reach on time?
2. वह इस प्रश्न को कैसे हल कर सका ? How could he solve this question?
3.  मेरा भाई क्यों नहीं आगरा तक पैदल जा सका ? Why could not My brother go on foot to Agra?
4.  मै उसे खिड़की से कब देख सका ? When could I see him through the window?
5.  तुम क्यों नहीं खेल सके ? Why could you not play?
6. वह अंग्रेजी क्यों नहीं बोल सका ?Why could he not speak English?
7. मै इस संदूक को कैसे नहीं उठा सका था ? How could i not lift this box ?
8. दो वर्ष पूर्व मैं बिना चश्मे के कैसे पढ़ सका था ? How could i read without glasses two year ago ?
